Over recent years, improvements to oil fired boilers have greatly improved their efficiency to match a gas central heating system - ideal for those properties that do not have a mains gas feed, such as rural properties and remote locations. We also cover the surrounding areas in Poole.
How does an oil boiler work?
An oil boiler mixes oil from the property’s oil supply with air to ignite the burner that provides heat to the heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger is a tightly coiled copper pipe that is exposed to the heat of the flame created by burning the oil and air mixture. The heat exchanger in-turn then transfers the heat to the water supply.
The heated water then flows through the pipes and radiators providing heat and hot water to the property.
Why choose an oil boiler?
Oil boilers are ideal for homes and buildings that are not connected to the mains gas supply. Modern oil boilers can be highly efficient and those with oil boilers can expect an impressive return on every unit used.
Oil combination boilers do not require water tanks or cylinders on the property, which can help save valuable space. You can also install external systems that can be located outside the property, again saving you space.
They are also suitable for all sizes of property so make effective heating solutions for larger and commercial buildings.
Oil boiler installation
Since April 2007 it has been mandatory that all oil boilers are condensing oil boilers to comply with Building Regulations, that’s why Heatworks only supply condensing boilers to ensure you meet Building Regulation standards.
Modern condensing boilers improve efficiency to over 90% which could save you a minimum of 30% per year on your home heating bills, which represents a big saving over the lifetime of your boiler.
